Well, I think Balian Buschbaum fits the bill and he’s got all the qualities to be considered for our Chuvahotness series.

The only difference is – - she used to be female. Can you even believe it by looking at the photo above? If I see him on the street and not knowing he used to be female, I would definitely gaze at him without question.

Philly Pride Presents – Philadelphia 22nd Annual Pride Festival

I used to hate going to Pride Festivals.  It seemed too much for me to handle.  I have lived in Baltimore, New York, and Los Angeles which are great cities to hold Pride Festivals.

However, since I’ve lived in Pennsylvania and New jersey, I have met friends who actually made it fun for me to attend these events.

Just in case you’re wondering when this year’s Pride Festival would be held in Phildelphia, ( since it is getting warmer outside now ) – It will be held on June 13, 2010.

Kathy Griffin is on your side when it comes to “Don’t Ask – Don’t Tell”

CNN.com reports that Kathy Griffin is organizing a rally in Washington, D.C. to assist in repealing the “antiquated policy of don’t ask, don’t tell” on March 18th at Freedom Plaza.

Kathy Griffin is very popular among gay men (a gay icon suits her) and she has been very supportive of the LGBT community since day one. I love her to death! I think she’s hilarious and for her to be on our side for causes as important as repealing the “Don’t Ask – Don’t Tell” policy, made me like her even more. It has been reported as well that she will be meeting with several legislators in Washington to discuss the issue.

She was quoted as saying, “After traveling to Iraq and Afghanistan to perform for the troops and visiting with injured vets and their families at Walter Reed, I’ve gotten to meet and know many gay members of our brave military, their stories are heartbreaking, touching, and need to be heard.”

Sean Hayes: Jack from Will & Grace comes out

He finally did it! Sean Hayes, Will’s flamboyant neighbor on the successful TV series, Will and Grace know as Jack has finally come out. He gave an interview to Advocate and spoke about living openly (as a gay man).

“I feel like I’ve contributed monumentally to the success of the gay movement in America, and if anyone wants to argue that, I’m open to it. You’re welcome, Advocate.”

For sure, everyone thought or at least had thought about Sean’s sexuality. Yet, since he never openly said anything about it – acceptance or otherwise – everyone still thought that he may be straight.

Regardless, we still love “Just Jack”! Way to go Sean Hayes.

Wiretaps collected by Italian authorities links Angelo Balducci (papal aide or a “gentleman of his holiness” ) to a gay prostitution ring.

Microsoft changes policy on XBox games and will now allow the use of “lesbian, gay, bi, transgender and straight” in the user name or profile which were previously banned by Microsoft due to concern that it may be used negatively.

Ewan McGregor talks nudity and gay kisses – Out Magazine

Ewan McGregor has a new film is coming out entitled, I Love You Phillip Morris. Paired with the comedian, Jim Carrey whose worldwide film gross sales topped $4 billion dollars the magazine said – is not new to nudity or gay kisses. Several films that Ewan mentioned are Pillow Book and Velvet Goldmine where he appeared nude and kissed a guy as well. In Pillow Book, he made out with an old Japanese guy and in Velvet Goldmine, he made out with Jonathan Rhys Meyers where he actually enjoyed it.

I remember when I kissed Johnny,” says McGregor. “It was just a rush at the end of the day. It was just an electrical moment, because you look around and some of the British electrician guys — who are all mainly closeted homosexuals, I think — were sitting around going ‘Fuck, no.’ But I like kissing boys on screen. As a straight guy, it’s quite an interesting proposition. Anything on a film set that takes you by surprise like that, that gets your blood up, is good.”

The film, I Love You Phillip Morris did well at Sundance and is now ready to be shown in mainstream theaters. The film comes out on April 23rd.

Listen to this sh*t! I never knew and omg!!! I really didn’t know. But I bet most of you knew! This is coming to light for me right now because John Mayer is under fire again after his Playboy interview. But that’s beside the point.

John Mayer “kissed and tongued” Perez Hilton?  Wow! And he admits to it. He’s like – “You’re damn right I made out with him,” Mayer told a crowd in April. “I was thinking about going gay!”

I know that he can be a d**khead and would say things that are really offensive (like his recent interview with Playboy and how he dropped the N word and also dropped the F** bomb on the famous Perez Hilton kiss) but in his interview with Rolling Stone, he tells of a New Year’s Eve 2007 story where he planted a kiss on Perez Hilton. One weird story, but hey – that’s what life is about right?

I was blog hopping this afternoon.  The snow-covered streets and sleet-laden sidewalks weren’t enough for my workplace to shut down.  We are “required” to work from home.

Heck, if I’m going to work from home on a snow day, I might as well blog hop.

I came across this weird story.  Many of us would probably cringe at the very moment you read the phrase, “boyfriend’s toilet bowl with his own toothbrush, …..!” but I won’t judge.  The story is not even about the toothbrush, rather it is a story about relationships.  I would leave it up to you to figure out the read the rest of the story…. someone needs an advice – STAT!

This was a funny event.  Do you remember the girl (Megan Phelps) from Westboro Baptist Church who had a sign that said “God Hates Lady Gaga”?  Ha!  She’s one of the people who holds those “God hates fags!” signs.  These people know how to spread hate.  Well, here’s another funny.

Westboro Baptist Church protesters showed up at San Francisco’s Twitter location to protest and put up signs like “God hates Twitter” and so forth.  Well, to their surprise, they were outnumbered by pranksters who showed up with non-sensical signs and even hilarious ones that got me ROTFL!

Mancrunch’s Gay Dating Site Commercial rejected by CBS

According to CNN, the gay dating site’s (Mancrunch.com) ad submission for the Super Bowl was rejected by CBS – the Super Bowl network.

“After reviewing the ad, which is entirely commercial in nature, our standards and practices department decided not to accept this particular spot,” said CBS spokeswoman Shannon Jacobs. “We are always open to working with a client on alternative submissions.”

There’s a debate whether it is discrimination or was it purely a financial decision (CBS claims they couldn’t verify Mancrunch’s credit). Ads for the Super Bowl can run up to $3 Million for a 30-second ad. Mancrunch recently raised $40 Million from investors..but hmmm, I don’t understand why they would target the Super Bowl audience anyway.. just saying…

Bruce Weber – a brilliant photographer and a controversial one too.

I’ve told you guys about my love for Bruce Weber right?  Bruce Weber is the famous photographer of A&F Catalogs (that’s why the catalogs were so successful), Bear Pond, America, and the most famous Chop Suey Club where he followed a wrestler named Peter Johnson for four years – photographing him in all sorts of activities (mostly naked and homoerotic).  These books have become a collector’s item (I own the Chop Suey Club) and sells for hundreds and hundreds of dollars.

Well, he’s put out a new photoshoot  of Juan and Carlos Hortoneda for L’Uomo Vogue (Jan. 2010 Issue), the Madrid Twins and it’s creating quite a stir.  The twins have photos displaying almost incestuous positions  which understandably could cause a stir.  But, it’s art.  It’s photography.  A way to capture ones’ imagination.

A firehouse for Anderson Cooper – - Awesome!

I love Anderson Cooper.  I watch his CNN’s AC360 podcast everyday and man, I am telling you… this guy is so sexy even when he’s in a suit.  But whenever he’s out and about – only wearing a black t-shirt and jeans (like the most recent one when he was in Haiti reporting about the earthquake crisis there) he’s sexier.  He’s most sexiest moment is when the film crew shot a riot emerging from the looting that was happening in Haiti and he grabbed a boy with blood on his head and took him away from the rioting crowd to make sure the boy was safe.  Ahhhh..  one can only dream of a guy like him.

Second pregnant man Scott Moore due to give birth to baby boy next month

Remember the Thomas Beatie, the world’s first pregnant man?  Well, now there’s a second one named Scott Moore who is to give birth to a baby boy next month.   According to Mail Online,  Scott started out as a female named Jessica.  She approached her parents at 11-years old saying that he wanted to be a man.

Her parents thought she was crazy then but as time went on, they believed her and was allowed to take male hormone pills at 16 years-old.

Her chest was removed, but her female organs are still intact since he cannot afford the surgery.

He met Thomas (used to be Laura) who has had a total hysterectomy and gender reassignment last year in 2005 at a support group for transgender men.   After two months, they started living together.

Scott was inseminated with the sperm of a male friend and fell pregnant in June 2009.

‘We were so happy we did what all gay men do when they get excited – we went shopping,’ Thomas said.

It’s out. Gays are here to stay and no level of censorship can wipe out a group – a living, breathing group of humans on the phase of the earth. We’ve always been here and we are here to stay. We are simply becoming more and more visible because we are a part of the society.

Rosie O’ Donnell welcomes 2010 with a new love.

Although she said “we’re working out issues” on an interview before, Rosie O’ Donnell and ex-wife Kelli Carpenter have really broken up. It was revealed later that Kelli has already moved out of their home two years prior according to E-Online.

Most recently however, Rosie has been spotted and photographed in Miami with another woman other than her wife. The new love’s name is Tracy Kachtick-Anders, an artist and an activist.

At least we know, The BOSS – Bruce Springsteen Supports Gay Marriage!

Whether you’re from New Jersey or not, you know the BOSS. The BOSS is Bruce Springstein, who among many other artists have a lot to say about important matters in the world. His music tells us that he thinks about the larger picture. To get a statement from Bruce Springsteen (noted below) is huge. It doesn’t guarantee the passing of Marriage Equality in New Jersey when it is voted on tomorrow but it does send a clear message that we have an ally in Bruce Springstein.

To all the hopefuls in New Jersey about the passing of Marriage Equality – - I hope you’ve provided your support by contacting your Senators  and Legislators asking them to support the legistation.

Woohoo! Meredith Baxter is Gay!

To whomever visits my blog regularly, I know that there has been accessing issues today. My host server is experiencing a heavy load and had told me that they had done an update and it was causing issues. Hmmm! And I have to suffer for that?

Anyway, I am typing this very fast just in case something happens again. I just wanted to say my peace regarding the coming out of Meredith Baxter (Family Ties – 80s sitcom matriarch as Elyse Keaton). I am sincerely elated that there is someone whom I have adored as a child watching Family Ties through its seven seasons – who is gay!  If you haven’t seen any of the reruns, she is absolutely funny and I love her to death.

She had an interview with Matt Lauer earlier this morning and boy, I was more nervous that she was when she was about to reveal that she’s a lesbian.

Taylor Lautner is Gay? We all wish…

I don’t know if this is the old “he-must-be-gay-because-he-is-super-sexy” wishful thinking going on or if there’s really any truth to the rumors that the New Moon star, Taylor Lautner is gay.  We all have heard that he is dating super hot and sweet Taylor Swift and we even have confirmation when we saw pictures of the two kissing after a sporting event.  But does that really mean anything these days.

When asked by Rolling Stones magazine during an interview, according to Access Hollywood -  Taylor neither denied nor confirmed that he bats for the the other team.

The thing is, when asked about Taylor Swift and about the real deal between them, he answered quite vaguely.

“We got along great. We instantly clicked. And she’s – she’s an amazing girl,” Taylor said of the singer in a new interview with Rolling Stone. “Aside from being beautiful, she’s extremely funny, charismatic and fun to be around, so we definitely get along. We’re close.”

But, is Taylor dating someone?

“Possibly,” he told the mag.

What?  Possibly?  Is he hiding it or is he really NOT dating Taylor Swift.  He did say that he isn’t  promiscuous which is a great thing if you ask me.  He is 17-years old.  That’s usually the age when a guy is all over the place when it comes to sex.

The killer was when Rolling Stones magazine asked him about his sexuality and if he’s still in the middle about it.

“Another possibility is that maybe you’re just sort of discovering yourself,” Rolling Stone asked.

“OK,” Taylor said.

”…As a young person trying to figure out his sexual identity in the world,” the mag continued.

“OK. I see where you’re going,” he said during the interview. “Interesting choice.”

“It is a possibility,” the mag said.

“There’s a lot of rumors out there,” Taylor said.

Reports at News of the World tells a story about 21-year old gay lad Rocky Bennett who was in a bar where Prince Harry visited.   He took the courage to come up to Prince Harry, told him he would buy him a beer if Prince Harry kissed him.  Guess what happened?

Comelec says gay party ‘immoral’

Are we living in the dark ages still?  I was reading one of my favorite blogs and found a featured news segment about Comelec’s rejection of Ang Ladlad to be accredited as a party list due to grounds of advocating “sexual immorality” and “immoral doctrines“.

What?  Is this for real?  It’s all about human rights.  We are all equal and regardless of sexual orientation, race or origin – each of us should be given the same right as everyone else.

I was not only disappointed about this decision but disheartened as well.  I hope that what they did does not result in hatred and misunderstanding of the LGBT community.  According to reports, the president of Ang Ladlad, Danton Remoto is going to take this all the way to the Supreme Court.  More power to you Danton!!  We have to continue to fight for equal rights.
