It’s really nice to know that the Philippines is in love with football now in as much as our neighboring countries like Singapore, Malaysia and others.  The best thing is that we’re like the UK now where our football stars become fashion icons as well just like how they made David Beckham (then playing for Manchester United) an awesome athlete for fashion.

For my regular readers out there, you all know how much I love straight guys right? I just don’t love them because of the sexual thing… well, okay – that is mostly the reason why – - but, I do love them more if they can treat me just like one of the guys. Do you know what I mean?

I have many straight guy friends. These friends are people I go out with, eat lunch with, joke around with and most of all – they don’t really care about my sexuality. They know that we don’t cross the line. They accept me for who I am and I accept them for who they are. That’s just that.

The most recent win of Philippine Askalz versus Mongolia Blue Wolves just re-ignited Filipinos with their love for football. Whether you like it or not, football is here to stay. With recent the recent popularity of FIFA World Cup, I can assure you that the Philippines will have the chance to someday play the World Cup if given the proper training and funding.

With the rise of interest in the Philippine Football Team, comes the rise of fans for individual players as well. I, for one have a crush on Phil Younghusband. My kumadre, likes Neil Etheridge and so do I. That’s the one thing I am about men, I have a wide range of taste. Both Phil Younghusband and Neil Etheridge fall inside that range. LOL!  Since I featured Phil Younghusband on our Chuvahotness Series – - I was politely asked by my kumadre to feature Neil Etheridge as well….

So, who is Neil Etheridge?

Call it luck, call it fortune. Heck, you can call it “right-time; right-place” and whatever else you want to call it. Darren Criss is everywhere these days and he’s loving it.

He is the recent cover of Prestige Magazine. You know that I fell in love with him very early on when he appeared on Glee. Looking on Youtube, I fell in love with him even more when I saw a video of him singing Little Mermaid’s “Part of Your World”. That was it! I intended to marry him from then on.

The uber lucky Glee star is enjoying his immediate rise to fame, thanks to Glee. He said that he is usually not clean-cut like you see him on Glee and usually lets his beard grow for days. I like him clean-cut though because some of his old Youtube videos didn’t look as attractive as he is now.

Chuvahotness #32 – Askalz (Philippine Football Team) – Phil Younghusband

Yes folks!  You got it right.  We are featuring Phil Younghusband from the Philippine Football (Soccer) Team Askalz as our latest addition to the Chuvahotness Series.  I’ve noticed him before and I was already taken by him when I saw the team in action during the AFC  Suzuki Cup 2010 but I didn’t particularly had the hots for him then.   His looks grows on you though.  I think he resembles Twilight’s Taylor Lautner don’t you think?

Do you agree that hair or no hair makes a man? 365 days without shaving “Ricky Coates”

I have two assumptions in this project.

One: Ricky Coates may still be a student.
Two: His job could care less about facial hair.

Ooops – actually three!

Three: He is a musician.

I don’t know much about Ricky Coates but he posted a video on Youtube documenting 365 Days of Beard. First, I think he looks very cute without the beard (I am glad you agree!). But growing a beard for one full year must have been a pain. First, the itch. When a beard starts growing, it becomes so itchy that it is not only uncomfortable – it can drive you nuts.

Maintaining a beard of this length would be so annoying because just like any hair, it can get tangled and all. But I guess, to prove a point – Ricky maintained his beard pretty well. One disappointment? In all 365 days, we didn’t see the guy shirtless in any of the pictures! Shucks! Haha!

I thought I fell in love with Zac Efron when he cried on Charlie St. Cloud.  I saw in him a gentle and passionate soul.

But his recent breakup with Vanessa Hudgens prompted him to shave it off and get the new look above.  Don’t you just love it?  He’s a man now!!  Woohoo!  Apparently, the look is for his new movie “The Lucky One” currently shooting in New Orleans.  My my my!!

He was part of MTV’s Real World Brooklyn at one point.   His story is quite remarkable because the guy is an entrepreneur.  He has been working out since the age of 14 and got his first job at Gold’s Gym.  He has a passion for staying fit and he used that passion to create a business by opening up is own Health & Fitness website and uploading instructional workout videos on Youtube offered for FREE to anyone who wants to get fit.

His name is Scott Herman.  And no, he is not gay.  He simply is a heterosexual man with a good head on his shoulders and a knack for utilizing what he knows (and has) to create an empire. A heterosexual man with a big heart for gay people.  He knows his audience and he also knows that he has a big gay following.

Fall in line behind me. Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens Break Up

LOL! I know. It’s not a good thing to make fun of a break up. I am not making fun of it, it’s just that I have had this huge crush on Zac Efron for the longest time and he’s always been attached to that girl – whatsherface? Vanessa Hudgens.

Now that it has been confirmed that Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens are no longer an item, it’s time for me to move in! The two have been dating since 2006 when they met during the filming of “High School Musical”. According to reports, the relationship simply ran its course and the two have decided to still remain friends.

Now, my Zac Efron is single and you betcha, I would totally hit that! LOL!

Ever since I can remember, I have always followed People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive.

Started in 1985, the tradition has continued except for 1994 when there was none selected. This year’s choice is Ryan Reynolds (rightfully so but I still think Jake Gyllenhaal is the sexiest man alive if you ask me!). The star of The Proposal won the coveted title.

The Bachelorette’s Julien Hug Found Dead Wednesday, 11/4/2010

Riverside County Officials report that Julien Hug of the Bachelorette fame in 2009 was found dead on Wednesday.

He had been reported missing for several days until his body was found at 11:00 a.m. local time in a remote area off Highway 74, near Pinyon Pines.  Cause of death is still unknown at this time and is still under investigation.  An autopsy

Jillian Harris, the star of The Bachelorette in 2009 confirmed the news thru her Twitter page and even asked for prayers:

“Please say a prayer for the loss of a friend this morning,” the Canadian Bachelorette wrote her followers. “Life is fragile, don’t forget to love the ones you love.”

Julien Hug didn’t make it to the finals of The Bachelorette last year but it cannot be denied that he gained popularity and garnered a multitude of fans on his own.

My condolences to Julien Hug’s family and friends.

A $100K offer from Playgirl for Glee’s Mark Salling and Chord Overstreet to go sexy (VIDEO)

The Glee Cast is still reeling from the GQ controversy raised by the Parent’s Television Council from the sexy poses by Glee Star Lea Michele and Dianna Agron. The issue is scheduled to hit newsstands on October 26th and the pictures have so far generated traffic to blogs and online news websites.

Now listen ladies, Playgirl is offering $100K to both (Puck) Mark Salling and (Sam) Chord Overstreet to pose for Playgirl and they don’t even have to take their clothes off! (I wonder if Levi Johnston is feeling a bit slighted with the offer. LOL!)

According to E!News, Playgirl is willing to pay the two sexiest guys from Glee a $100K pay just to pose sexy.

I was missing my friend George. He is Lebanese and a cute one at that! He is in Lebanon right now helping his father build a hotel. He was born and raised here in the US but do speak Arabic and such. I’ve met his mom and his sister and they are wonderful people. Somehow, I thought of him today and when I Googled “Lebanese Men”, I came across this video which makes me understand our friendship even more.

He is a very close friend of mine and we do hold hands and even sit next to each other while watching TV (almost cuddling) but it really is nothing. We’re simply friends who feel very close to each other. I used to misunderstand certain gestures of his but now I somehow figured out after watching this video that he treats me as a “very close friend”… and that is all.

Shout out to George! I miss you!!

Chuvahotness #30 – Lone Star’s James Wolk

Rounding out the new shows on Mondays at 9:00 is FOX’s Lone Star, a soapy show following the double (triple?) life of a con-man. James Wolk plays Bob Allen, the aforementioned con-man, who has a wife in Houston and a girlfriend in Midland, TX. In each of these lives he is working cons against the locals, all seemingly under the tutelage of his con-man mentor and father, played by David Keith.

I had fun watching the episode last night.  The plot is cool and the story is just getting better.  Another favorite actor of mine is Bryce JohnsonHarry and Max and Bring it On Again ().  I will feature him as one of our Chuvahotness hunks as well.

Anyway, watching James Wolk last night was refreshing.  He’s got the acting ability to pull off a nice guy with a bad past.  I will continue to watch the show until it’s cancelled (hope not!).  My mistake is posting my status on Facebook as “My new favorite show: Lone Star” – - and a friend responded… “Because the guy is hot?? ”   OF COURSE!!  But, my co-workers and family are friends on Facebook so I had to say, “No, because the plot is good!” , then delete the status.  Hmmmm.

Every once in a while, I look for guys who would be worthy of our Chuvahotness Series.  I haven’t put one up lately because I haven’t really found a hunk that would make my jaws drop.  In reality, the Chuvahotness Series is a list of guys I would hope to marry someday.. LOL!

I was watching Extra the other night and I think they featured Alex O’ Loughlin who is going to star in the remake of Hawaii-Five-O.  I understand that there will be four episodes of it and will probably extend if the ratings fare well.

Honestly, he’s the least guy that I liked in Beverly Hills 90210.  I didn’t like his squeaky voice and his face and body was okay.

But have you seen him lately?  Man!  Brian Austin Green is super hot these days!!  I guess that’s what it makes you when you are married to Megan Fox!    You have to keep up or else!  He doesn’t look anything like the old Brian Austin Green from 90210.

Don’t you just hate airport security? I used to until I started seeing guys like the one above who tries desperately to remove a sweater or a sweatshirt without exposing their love trail. It works most of the time but for this guy, I guess it didn’t work that well.

Are you ready for another steamy season of MTV’s Jersey Shore?

I don’t really care if you call me trashy or that I am known to be a fan of MTV’s Jersey Shore. Aside from being from New Jersey, Chuva likes the Guidos featured on the show.

I particularly like Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino because of those abs!  Mind you, there are real-life guido’s in my town.  What I would give for any one of them.

Jersey Shore airs July 29th… can’t wait to see Snooki again.  She’s the most hilarious and that is why she’s more famous than the rest of the guidettes…

I love love love Socialite Life’s Male Model Monday – David Jensen

Most of my readers  (I believe so at least) come to my site for photos of the hunks whom I post here.  I have the Chuvahotness Series which is a hit among my readers (still at the top of the charts is Chuvahotness #18 – Coco Martin).

One site that I absolutely adore is Socialite Life because it has a way of making my Mondays less boring and chewable if you know what I mean.  I hate Mondays to begin with and my stress usually starts on Sundays in anticipation of all the issues I have to deal with at work on Mondays.

Rodrigo Santoro starts filming as soccer star Heleino de Freitas

Rodrigo Santoro (pronounced as Hodrigo)  has started filming the movie Heleno.  Directed by José Henrique Fonseca, the 34-year old Brazilian actor will play the role of Heleno de Freitas – the Brazilian soccer player who contracted syphillis.  According to Wikipedia, he eventually ended up in a sanitarium in Barbacena later in his life until he died in 1959.

Chuvahotness #28 – Mister Brazil 2007 and Mister World Runner Up Lucas Gil

I wasn’t really into Male Pageants and really didn’t follow much of it. However, when I visited Brazil last year I was immediately attracted to Lucas Gil. I found Lucas Gil from friends whom I met in Sao Paulo. He is totally scorching hot.

Many people would probably say that there are more good looking guys in Brazil other than Lucas Gil but I’m sure you will agree that although there are many good looking guys in Brazil, Lucas Gil has the “X” Factor. He has a beautiful smile, a physique to die for and get this – I heard that his girlfriend is none other than International Filipina model Bessie Badilla.
